Babies R Us

Babies r us is an awesome store. I mean not only do they have (or can get) anything that is made for babies, but today as i walked around the store to get odds and ends i needed for the little guy i noticed they have ish in there to make new moms (or new parents) shopping a one stop shop.

For example i need to get toilet paper soap and lotion, so i was planning on going to babies r us and then target...Then i walk in to babies r us...and they have it ALL...soap and lotions for mommies (not just baby soap or what u should be using etc. but like real stuff ud buy) and they had toilet paper too (it was like 3 dollars more expensive than target soo i didn't get it, the "frugal" side of my father coming out) BUT they had it to make there store a one stop shop. AND they had grown up snacks too, i was amazed. I mean i was amazed when i was pregnant and had to get a gown for the hospital, and nursing bra...and they had it all there, but now im amazed on whole new level lol

While i was there i did get monitor (didn't think i need one in the apt, but it is nice to have while i do things like ummm blog while he is in the other room in his crib lol) and Devin got a mobile today. I didn't really understand how "important" this was gonna be to him BUT when i brought it home OMG its amazing he just stares at it lol I was in the store MAD b/c the cheapest mobile i could find was like $30 bucks, so for someone who didn't see how important it was (before i bought it) that was a lot...so i found one "on sale" for 20 and i thought i had found a sale!! Brought it home set it up and put him down, turned it on (it winds up and plays music) and OH MY GOODNESS he was mesmerized! It was something that simple that had him so intrigued that i had to remind my self he is learning, everything is knew to him. He was holding his hands at first making motions with his mouth and then BAM he try's to swat one of the animals LOL was no where near it but thought he try and work out that hand eye coordination.
This morning i was up at 5 am with this dude blinking at me. I feed him change him and was like cool going to sleep for another 3 hours...NOPE boy was i wrong. This dude was just lookin at me with his big brown eyes like BLINK BLINK BLINK lol sooo i pulled out this activity mat thing that Amiee (my old college com buddy) bought him and goodness instant fun! It has colors, a blinking bear and yup u guessed it more ish for him to swat at! I know see these toys are not only keeping his attention, soo cool and bright and moving etc., but they are allowing him to hone in on his skills. His hand eye coordination his ability to blabber on que when he wants to and just not make nosies by accident lol Its all pretty awesome to say im not only witnessing it but i am starting to challenge and teach him already (i mean beyond the things he is learning that i have no control over but i am doing)

Everyday i learn something new, i see him learn and act out something new..Its just fun, amazing, all worth it...which once again had me thinking in babies r us how blessed and thankful i am for the mindset i have. B/c i feel a true pain for woman who were in a situation similar to mine and just decided "their" life wasn't ready for the child they created growing in them and ended it based on their ability to sign a legal wavier to kill a fetus.

On that note im off to get my dr. pepper and my pirate booty (which i love since those college care packages...white cheddar popcorn...sold at babies r us too and in individual packets for hecka cheap!!) as i watch the Wendy Williams Show (yeah i am one of those who was excited she is back on the air)
