4.7 % REALLY WTF?!?!?!

Im soooo sick to my stomach right now so bare with this random insane non formulated rant now...

Included in all the things that make up who i am, i am a Black Republican Women.

I acknowledge the fact that Black people were not allowed to vote, fought through being beaten, given whacked out IQ test and much much more to have their voice heard.

I acknowledge the fact that women were not able to vote until 1920 (era i think).

I acknowledge that most Black people dont know why i chose the party i claim, even though Black people were republicans with the same "ideas" before the were democrats, and talk about me for my choices.

BUT i refuse to acknowledge those who wanna argue, complain, or even make the SLIGHTEST comment about the governing system in which they live in if the refuse to participate in the process.

After this most recent election its been calculated that 4.7% of Black People voted. Thats a NATIONAL number not a state number. How disgusting is that!

I live in California, our state voted to band homosexuals marriage licenses two years ago, this year it got over turned. The fact that what the state voted for a prop and the court said no your opinion is wrong was defeating. Not the prop it self for me the process was defeating. On that morning i felt as if my vote didn't matter if the state was gonna do what they wanted to do any way. I didn't want to vote for a long time BUT i did. I did b/c so many people have fought and lost lives in that process. so many men and women have DIED wanting the that right and were never able to obtain it.

Yet i can, b/c of what they have done for me to make sure my opinion is accounted for. BUT people these days cant even take an hour out of their day 60 minutes out of the month to sit down and make decisions based on who represents them and their beliefs best once a year! Thats just beyond lazy. Especially when you have other people in our day and age who are loosing lives to cast votes in other country's? You just choose not to. Your laziness to remain 100% ignorant makes you a dumb shyt. Its that simple. I am not the most educated, or even highly politically involved person BUT i am smart enough to believe in who i am and cast my vote accordingly and confidently.

I know i have a HUGE assumption in my head and im about to state something thats a blanket statement but i i am still putting it out there...i think i am most annoyed b/c u know the people who did not vote are the ones on the news in the camera when something goes on. The ones who kids have been arrested and tried un justifiably, or the ones who are PISSED about illegal immigrants living here and getting the same benefits as them.

If you do not participate in the process how can u expect to change the process? If you do not participate in the process why should get the same benefits as someone like me who makes the effort to be in the process.

Im tired of hearing excuses "i didn't vote b/c i do not believe in the process" ok so when douches like moreno, newsom and boxer win and change shyt that directly affects you guess who u can call to get it fix no one. Im tired of hearing the excuse "i didn't vote b/c i wasnt informed on who to vote for"...yet you facebook on black berry, droid or iphone but cant mobile google and candidates profile or stance? If it sounds stupid when u read it then guess what it was just as if not more stupid when u say it out loud year after year. Be an adult and participate in the status qua or change in one way or another. If you dont fall for something you will fall for anything.

I REALLY think its whack that so many black people are on some type of government assistance but choose not to participate in the process that could make or break, help or hinder the hand that feeds then in SO many ways. Yet go down to a county office on the 1st or 15th, or an unemployment office and people will be there if their funds are missing, or a paper wasn't filed correctly making sure that their "business" gets handled. People had taxes raised, salaries cut, child care taken, school fee's raised, jobs lost and didn't vote. SO the cycle you live and complain bout just REPEATS b/c those who were not in the majority affected by the problems voted. And you know they voted for the people in those positions to stay or for someone to replace them who is Similar or the same to the person who was in that position before. All b/c it didn't affect them and all the others have to just deal.

I think this is all a slap in the face to those who are dead and ESPECIALLY to those who are still alive who could not vote then and can now. No matter what excuse that said, or even formulated it doesn't matter, you failed and you have no right to commend and complain. Dont tell me my opinion is right or wrong b/c you are to lazy to get things together to vote so your energy in your complaint or compliment holds NO merit. Get off the news, get out of services that take $ out of my check all b/c you couldnt mail in a ballot or walk in a polling place. Harsh i know but i make the effort. I work my butt off, i pay my taxes not just on time but EARLY, and i participate in the process. If you dont think any of that is important or matters then why should any of it think your important or matter either?
