If you are an Assembly member representing a district then i believe your vote on issues should be a vote that reflects the beliefs of the people who you are representing. Even if you are not going to vote in favor of what the people in your district believe in you could at least recognize the fact that they took the time to tell you how they felt before you went to cast your vote.
NOT Willamina Carter. I went to her website to write her a letter on how i feel about the state talking about implementing a Harvey Milk day for schools to observe. Didn't tell her how i felt on it, weather i was opposed or for it just asked for an email address where i could send my letter to (cuz her site would only allow to submit like 140 characters). She responds back and doesn't say thank you for taking time to tell me how u feel and respond from there...NOPE she responds back and says ya know your thoughts are your thoughts and i will be voting for what i feel is right. FOR REALS. none of the normal political BS oh rose thanks your thoughts can be heard, your thoughts will be weighed upon and i will make the decision based on my entire district NOPE, just simply you do nto need to send a letter, a note, or do anything cuz quite frankly im gonna vote they way i want to when it all comes down to it...and? lol So i said ok thanks, just wanted you to know how someone in your district feels, but i see that doesn't matter...and what does she do in turn...add me to her freakin email update monthly news letter! FOR REALS why would i want to be on ur email new letter update list if you bluntly do not give a flying turkey about what i think as a person in your district and on top of all that it took me 3 emails to get off her dang list!
So im not a fan and i think i feel so done with her on this issue b/c im sorry i fell for the oh she is cool enough to vote for charade when we voted last fall...so i complain she is in this position but i am part of the reason she is there!
It would be easier if i could look at all the "other" things she is doing, and other ways she has voted to kinda weigh them out (ya know take the bad but got some good too) BUT im stubborn (yes i admit that) on topics that weigh the most to me. I am sure everyone has topics, events, actions that are most important to them in what the government does and does not do and this one is one of mine dang it! So to be blown off with out her knowing what my position and reasons are just leaves me unsettled. It sounds kinda bad but i even would have been more grateful with the political response that addressed my curiosity and never answered my question...lol
