Elizabeth

Ive come to the conclusion that history, ancestry is more than just a tree of knowing who gave birth to who. Elizabeth or Grace and a Maderon and so many more names to an on going list builds Rose directly and thats not even counting all those who have indirectly built Rose. Just kinda deciding to give credit to where credit is due...right now thats my elders who i have begun to see have truly influenced me most.

Im seeing more of their characteristics and traits come out in me more and more every day and me being able to acknowledge and give them credit keeps their memory alive. Also recognizes that the things they have done in my eyes through out my life were noted directly and indirectly.

Their ability call situations like they saw them ...no matter if it was right or wrong logical or not if people were on their side or not...they had their reasons and they stood by their reasons with out influence from another just being some sort of follower b/c they were leaders. They were strong, divorcee's, widowers, single parents, married parents, they knew that things had to be taken care of and so they made moves to make sure situations where handled not only for themselves but for their family and friends no questions asked. They were strong in family get togethers, passing on traditions and it never seemed preachy but just explaining why it was done in that way.

That stuff stuck with me. I despised it then though lol...like churning the ice cream thingy all day just to get 1 cone of ice cream after dinner, learning to sew, crochet and knit and having all my stitches ripped out to be done again the correct way when ONE was incorrect (even if i tried to hide it and made up for it in the end). That stuff all made me who i am and molded my life in more than the situations in which i was being taught.

And for that i am a thankful Elizabeth Grace Maderon and so many others built into one Rose.
